American Chestnut Foundation documentary screening In-Person

Registration is required. Register here.

Free and open to the public.

Claytor Nature Center will be hosting a free event for the public on Thursday February 22, 2024 at 5PM located in the Education Center.

Laura Podyma, volunteer with the Virginia Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation, will join us for a Q&A session following the screening.

The American Chestnut Foundation has been working alongside supporters like Dolly Parton, Jimmy Carter and Chuck Leavell and many others for over 4 decades to rescue this once thriving but now rare tree species from extinction. The mission to keep this species thriving is one that is important to both our history and our future.
