It’s cold outside and getting colder! What is Virginia’s wildlife doing this time of year? Join us to find out how animals prepare for winter and what they are doing now.

This guided program will give children the opportunity to explore nature and learn about their animal neighbors. Some of the topics to be covered are hibernation, food storage, and cold weather adaptations.

The program will take place at several locations along our trail system. Activities and content are geared towards children ages 6-11.

1-2pm Make sure that you register for your preferred date (listed as separate events in our calendar).

All participants will be asked to vacate the premises by 2:30pm. This event will take place rain or shine.

When registering, be sure to include the total count of people that will be attending. For example, 2 children and 1 accompanying parent = 3 registrants.

Cost: $6 per person (or free with our NEW Otter Romp membership program)

Membership:

Our new introductory membership program will provide access to members-only guided hikes, free and discounted programs, preferential access to grounds for hiking and play, and more, through March 2021.
